October Harvest

America’s Patriots

The definition of patriotism is devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty. America was built on patriotism. Without patriots we are nothing. If there were no patriots today then there would be nobody to defend our country, nobody to protect us in our time of need and if there were no patriots we very well might be speaking another language soon. There will never be a shortage of patriots in America. Without our patriots America would be forced into using new unconventional ideas-ideas that would take away the very rights and freedoms that the American patriots fought for time and time again. When we were fighting for our freedom against the English, and the Japanese and the Germans, Patriots were there. When the Twin Towers took the unforgettable and unforgivable fall, the patriots of America struck back against al’Qaeda. Over the many years that America has existed the American patriot has always defended America and its allies, but those brave men and women are heroes for not only did all of them risk their lives for complete strangers but many of them lost their lives. Some of those patriots had families with kids. Those families will never see them again. So not only did those men and women give their lives for us but they also gave up their own future memories. They will never see their own child take their first steps; they will never see their child graduate from high school or college. They will not have the opportunity to be there when their child has their heart broken. They will not be there on their child’s wedding day. Those brave men and women gave up everything but their legacy. Those patriots will always live on in their memory and will never be forgotten. Patriots put their blood sweat and tears into American soil. Patriotism was and always will be the most important thing for America, standing tall next to liberty, justice, and freedom.
