September Leaves

Misinformation

Over 90 percent of people lie each and every day. Now to lie is to make a false statement with deliberate intent to deceive. Although generally lying is made out to be a bad and hurtful thing there are however some exceptions to this rule. Such as lying with the intent of joy when getting someone a gift or throwing someone a surprise party.

This story is a tragedy because it ends in loss, the loss when the family lost the tradition that they will never ask for any help or special help. While the main character struggled to keep his secret and failed.

The main character, Eli who is a young thirteen year old boy. Is very shy and does not seem to be outgoing. When subjected to rejection he gets angered and saddened. When subjected to nervousness he is very seclude trying to keep to himself for the most part. Also when subject to exploitations he gets extremely sad and embarrassed.

This story just proves the fact that lying is used commonly and how lying can destroy even the most loyal traditions. Which as well might be the lesson in this story. This is unfortunate especially because the shocking statistic shows just how many people lie which affects several lives.
